Pretzel Surprise Salad

This used to be a thing back in the day. Let's bring it back!

You will need:

A few cups of broken pretzels (preferably pretzel twists)
One-and-one-half sticks of butter getting soft
8 oz. of sour cream
1 cup of sugar
1 package of Dream Whip Whipped Topping
2 10 oz. packs of frozen strawberries defrosting
1 large can of crushed pineapple
1 package of strawberry Jello

Mix the pretzels and butter in a 9 x 13 pan. Put that in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes, no longer. Mix the cream cheese with the sugar, prepare the Dream Whip, and mix this all together. When the pretzels are out of the oven and have cooled down, spread the mixture over the pretzels and put that in the fridge. Drain the strawberries and mix with the pineapple, but save the juice. Add some water to the juice so you have about two cups of liquid, not more. Make the Jello, let it cool to the point that it's just slightly thick, add the strawberries and pineapple. Pour that and the liquid over the pretzels and cream cheese mix. Don't drown what you have with the liquid; in fact, you may not need it. Put this in the fridge and let it sit until its settled in.
