Honey Garlic Shrimp!

This recipe comes from Martha Wenning writing in he November 9, 2022 issue of The Mountain Eagle, published in Whitesburg, Kentucky and perhaps my favorite newspaper.

The ingredients are as follows:

2 teaspoons of olive oil
One-third-of-a-cup of honey
One-quarter-of-a-cup of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of of minced garlic
1 pound of medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
One-half to one teaspoon of ground ginger

In a medium bowl add in your honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Place your shrimp into a large Zip-lock bag and pour in half of your marinade. Push out as much air as you can from the bag and seal it and put it in he fridge for a minimum of 15 minutes up to ten hours.

Put your olive oil in a skillet, put the shrimp in he skillet, and cook the shrimp for 45 seconds on each side. Add the marinade that you didn't put in the bag to the skillet after you flip the shrimp. Let the shrimp cook in the marinade for 1-2 minutes. Ms. Wenning suggests that you serve the shrimp over brown rice and garnish with green onion. Believe me, she knows what she's taking about---I have used several of her recipes.
