I think that Michael Leach is a particularly sensitive writer with a deep spirituality. I know of his work through the National Catholic Reporter. His article "The mind is a terrible thing" (NCR, 10/28-11/10/22) raises good questions about how we think and how we manage our faculties, but its best points are on how we deal with intrusive thoughts that we don't want to have.
