Easy Cream Of Mushroom Soup

You are going to need;

2 pts. fresh mushrooms
3 qts and one-and one-half cups of water
A little salt and pepper
Three-quarters-of- a-cup of water
Two-thirds of a cup of flour
4 cups of milk
One-half cup of cream

Clean and slice up the mushrooms. You always want to buy mushrooms with gills, and I don't see any reason to remove them. Put the mushrooms in water with a little salt and pepper and boil them 'til they're tender. Melt the butter on low heat in a pan and add your flour and stir well 'til its smooth. Add your milk and cream and keep stirring and keep it at low heat. Add small amounts of the mushrooms to this sauce until you're at about half and half. Then just blend everything into your soup and stir.

Some folks add diced red potatoes early on, and some people fry them first. Some others add a diced red bell pepper. Bacon bits are also a good extra, I think.
