I was blessed yesterday when a friend sent me a clip of Playing For Change. Please check out their clips on You Tube. They make me happy. Seeing them reminded me of the Doğa İçin Çal effort that originated in Turkiye some years ago. Both efforts are essentially humanistic and unifying. The Doğa İçin Çal clip is an old Sufi poem set to music. It talks about walking and walking, and there is a great line in the poem about being born in a market with only one exit. The author, Âşık Veysel, appears at the end.
